Strictly Come Dancing is almost upon us, and we can’t wait for a satin-clad Les Dennis to cha-cha-cha onto our small screens (fingers crossed).
Host Tess Daly has now revealed exactly when we can expect the celebrity line-up to be officially announced after sharing some behind-the-scene Strictly images with co-presenter Claudia Winkleman on Instagram.

Posting a picture of herself hugging Winkleman backstage during the first day of filming for the BBC One competition show, Daly added the caption: “Got to snuggle up to this one today @amiclaudiawinkleman.

Responding to a fan asking about when the star names will be confirmed after months of speculation, the star replied: “The names start being released on August 13th.”
She added a thumbs up emoji.
The rumoured line-up includes Scarlett Moffatt, Coleen Rooney, Piers Morgan, DJ Vick Hope, and former Steps star Faye Tozer.
The professional dancer line-up was recently confirmed by the BBC, including newest additions Graziano Di Prima, Johannes Radebe and Luba Mushtuk.
Back for this year’s 18-strong series are AJ Pritchard, Aljaž Škorjanec, Amy Dowden, Anton Du Beke, Dianne Buswell, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Janette Manrara, Karen Clifton, Katya Jones, Kevin Clifton, Nadiya Bychkova, Neil Jones, Oti Mabuse and Pasha Kovalev.
The BBC also announced that same-sex couples won’t be happening on the series, with a spokesperson for the show saying: “Strictly has chosen the traditional format of mixed-sex couples and at the moment we have no plans to introduce same-sex couples.”
Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One in the autumn.
