Pregnant Jessica Raine looks ready to Call The Midwife on romantic stroll

Looks like it won’t be long before heavily pregnant Call The Midwife star Jessica Raine is wheeling a pram of her own.

The actress, 37 – Jenny Lee in the show – wrapped up warm for a walk in the winter sun with stylish boots, woolly hat and a roomy parka, which couldn’t quite cover her burgeoning bump.

Jessica, also wearing a Baby on Board badge, and husband of three years Tom Goodman-Hill are expecting their first child together .

The couple are believed to have met working in the theatre in 2010 before getting together around 2013 and then later marrying in September 2015.

Her husband has two children from his marriage to Kerry Bradley before they split.

Tom, 50, played chief of staff Roger Grove in department store drama Mr Selfridge. So he should know where to go for a good baby buggy.

The actress broke the news at the premiere of new BBC1 series Baptiste last month which she stars in, as she sported a large baby bump.

It is understood she is heavily pregnant and is due to give birth within the next month or so.

Jessica plays Europol officer Genevieve in the new thriller series.

The spin-off from The Missing stars French-Turkish actor Tchéky Karyo.

She told how being pregnant helped her channel her emotions into playing Genevieve.

“I was a bit tired but the worrying thing for production was there was a car race and stunt and I neglected to tell them I was pregnant when I took the job,” told Line Of Duty star Jessica, 37.

“I broke the news and everyone was amazing. We had to work out how to do a car chase without me being in any danger.

“Also my character is quite hard and being pregnant is quite emotional so it worked well, I was interested most in food on this job so my shirts get bigger as the series goes on.”
