Love Island winner Dani Dyer explains Jack Fincham's absence as she does Good Morning Britain interview alone

Since coupling up in the first few days on Love Island, it’s hard to imagine Jack Fincham without Dani Dyer now.

But Jack and Dani, or Jani, were split up on Good Morning Britain today, with Dani doing the interview solo.

Explaining her boyfriend’s absence, Danny Dyer’s daughter said: “He’s in bed. Tucked up in bed.

“He said, ‘Put it on record for me babe’.”

The 22-year-old admitted that it was odd being on GMB as ‘just Dani on your own’, rather than being part of a pair.

“We literally ain’t spent no time apart. It’s horrible being apart from each other,” she said.

Dani also discussed her parents, Danny Dyer and Joanne Mas, going on a Florida holiday and not being present for the Love Island final.

Explaining why they booked their break for such a crucial time for her, she said: “They didn’t think I was going to last. My dad said he thought I’d last [a] half hour. It’s rained for them so I’ve just said, ‘You know what, you should have been home’.

“It has been really difficult because it has been such a huge change in our lives, but they have been brilliant. My dad especially, they ring us all the time. He’s going to guide Jack as well with the right direction, which is nice.”

Dani added that the EastEnders actor has been texting her new boyfriend since they left the villa, with host Kate Garraway saying she was ruining his hard man reputation.

“[They have] just chatting as normal really, my dad’s never been able to do that,” Dani added. “He likes him and he texts him saying ‘love ya’.

“He’s a big softie, but he does put the West Ham sign at the end of every text.”

Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays from 6am on ITV.
