Lisa Appleton strips down to underwear and sucks on a sausage next to some bins

Empires rise and empires fall, but Lisa Appleton’s dual love of both sausages and refuse collection will never die – as she herself proved on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.

Lisa made a star appearance on Friday night’s launch, stripping down to her underwear so she could nosh on a soss in front of the live studio audience.

The 2008 Big Brother housemate has made quite the name for herself in ten years of fame, but despite the glitz and glamour of being a minor celeb, Lisa feels most at home with a sausage in her mouth and a bin at her back.

The moody star couldn’t have looked more thrilled to be back in the spotlight as Rylan Clark-Neal introduced her to the BBBOTS panel.

She showed off her surgically sculpted boobs in a oyster coloured bra decorated with black lace, with a sheer spangled cover-up draped alluringly over her shoulders.

Lisa, with heavy eye makeup and distinctive lip liner, then gurned at the camera as she stuck one end of a plastic-looking frankfurter into her gob and took a big ol’ bite of it.

With any luck, Lisa will have at least been given her bus fare home after the show, as she’s now living in a treehouse after being made ‘homeless’.

Pictures of Lisa living wild with the animals and stripping naked for an au naturel dip in a stream went viral last month, after she turned down lucrative work as a webcam girl.

"I thought at 50 years old I’d be living it up in my own house with a much better life," she told Mirror Online.

"I am shocked and devastated about my current living circumstances.

"I’m sleeping rough with creepy crawlies, and a night owl that hoots all night and keeps me awake."

She continued: "I’ve met a friendly fox. I feed him my scraps and give him a cheeky sausage. He cheers me up – I’ve called him Tinker!"

Since revealing she had moved into her rustic new gaff, Lisa has faced criticism from Twitter followers who believe she is telling porkies about her current situation.

"The general public reaction has been: ‘It’s not true, it’s a set up!’ And other stupid comments, however I find quite a few of them hilarious.

"One even said they hope the treehouse doesn’t collapse, because I weigh a tonne!

"If people criticise me for sleeping rough… At the end of the day, I’m not signing on, I’m rebuilding my life."
