Not that we don’t think the Fab Five are perfect as they are, but Gok Wan has just floated the idea of a British version of Queer Eye and we can’t possibly think of anything else until it exists.
Gok revealed his thoughts on Queer Eye to Metro.co.uk, admitting that he’d “definitely” entertain the idea of a series in the UK – and that he even once auditioned for the show.
It’s a perfect fit then, isn’t it?
As well as admitting he had auditioned for the “original” Queer Eye over 15 years ago, Gok said that it was Rylan Clark-Neal who first put the brilliant idea of a new version to him.

“Rylan said that we should do Queer Eye, and do you know what, I’d definitely think about it,” he said. “I’m not saying yes or no, it would all depend on who you’re on the show with. It’s an ensemble piece and so it would have to be the right line-up.”
So that’s Gok, Rylan and an obvious cameo from Tan France in the bag already. Three out of five ain’t bad and all that.
Gok also praised the “pioneering” American series for its message of inclusion and positivity. “I think it’s very fun and very pioneering and it’s great for the community, and there’s also some great advice on there as well,” he said.
If Gok and Rylan don’t make these Queer Eye dreams a reality, we can at least look back on their time as This Morning hosts together.
The pair are currently standing in for regular duo Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, but viewers have loved #Rok so much that they’re calling for them to be made permanent hosts.
Let’s just give them their own show, shall we?
The first two seasons of Queer Eye are currently available to watch worldwide on Netflix.
