Carla Connor made a killer confession in tonight’s explosive Coronation Street.
There was also an emotional exit for one resident of the cobbles who left in floods of tears in the back of a cab.
Underworld boss Carla, who was consumed with guilt over Rana Habeeb’s tragic death, admitted she did know about the deadly condition of the roof before the collapse.
Her timing could not have been worse as Carla revealed her horrific secret in front of the mourners at Rana’s memorial.
Carla was stunned into silence when furious Robert Preston told everyone to “ask her what she knew”.
When Kate pleaded with her half-sister to say he was lying, Carla confessed: “I didn’t know it would collapse. But I knew there was a problem.”
Kate broke down in tears as she insisted Carla “could have stopped” the love of her life from dying.
Carla was blasted by livid Imran, who vowed to make her suffer, angry factory workers Beth and Kirk and disgusted Roy.
To get justice for Rana, her brother and wife-to-be went to the police station to report her confession.
That wasn’t the only fallout from the devastating roof collapse, as Gina Seddon left the cobbles for good.
Sally stopped her sister from getting in a taxi and they finally made amends after months of feuding.
Tim apologised and Sally thanked her sister for saving her husband’s life after spotting he was unwell.
They pleaded with Gina to stay, but she insisted she had to leave for Newcastle.
Gina said: “I want to stay in your life. Turn up when you least expect it. Now we’ll be closer but with a bit of distance. You’ve not seen the last of me."
The sisters bid an emotional farewell and Gina was in floods of tears as she left Weatherfield in the back of a taxi.
Corrie viewers took to Twitter after Gina's exit aired.
One viewer said: "Sad that gina’s leaving, is actually warmed to her."
Another added: "Oh dear Gina leaving ! #corrie @itvcorrie tarrah duck"
A third said: "Awwwwww no Gina you can't leave"
