India opener Shikhar Dhawan reportedly presented a bat to his Delhi Capitals’ teammate Prithvi Shaw during the recently-concluded 12th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
A photo is going viral on social media where Shaw’s bat reads a special message and is reportedly signed by his opening partner Dhawan. The message reads: ‘To Shaw, you will be a legend one day’.
The duo played vital roles in providing good starts to Delhi in a highly successful campaign that saw them win their first play-off match in the history of the competition. DC’s season ended after their crushing defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 2.
