Mumbai Indians became the first team to win four Indian Premier League (IPL) titles as they defeated Chennai Super Kings by one run in the IPL 2019 final on Sunday. Thanks to the victory, skipper Rohit Sharma also became the first captain to lead his team to four IPL trophies – one more than CSK counterpart MS Dhoni.
Besides that record, there were a number of other accolades that Rohit added to his already illustrious career with the thrilling win in Hyderabad.

Rohit equalled Ravichandran Ashwin to take the second spot in the list of most appearance in T20 finals with 10 each. The record belongs to the CSK duo of Dhoni and Suresh Raina who have appeared in 14 T20 finals.
Out of these 10 T20 finals, Rohit has won nine titles with the only exception being the loss against Sri Lanka in the 2014 in World T20. Rohit has won a total of five trophies (most by a player), four as a skipper (most successful captain), and three for India where he bagged the Nidahas Trophy title as a skipper.

Sharma said that winning the fourth Indian Premier League (IPL) title in front of his daughter Samaira was special.
“It is special. Not just Samaira but you (addressing his wife, Ritika) also. Yes, (winning in front of) Samaira because this is her first IPL and she came for most of the games. I’m very happy,” Rohit said replying to Ritika, who asked him how he felt about winning the fourth title in front of Samaira in an IPL video.
