Consolation win for Sri Lanka

Suranga Lakmal bowled a miserly last over to help Sri Lanka win the fourth ODI by three runs here on Wednesday.

Needing eight runs from the 21st and final over, South Africa lost David Miller to the second ball and the last wicket pair could not reach the revised target of 191.

South Africa was in with a chance as long as Miller was around though wickets fell at regular intervals. Earlier, Dasun Shanaka hit a quickfire 65 as Sri Lanka blasted 306 for seven off 39 overs.

Thisara Perera made an unbeaten 51 and Kusal Perera also hit 51 as the home side punished the South Africa bowlers. Rain delayed the start of the game which was eventually cut from 50 overs to 39.
