Psychic Sally Morgan has spoken out in tribute to late medium Derek Acorah.
The death of the 69-year-old Acorah after a short illness had seen many reaching out to Sally for comment, prompting her to take to social media to pay her respects.
While never growing close to Derek, Sally reveals in her post that the pair had met a number of times on various television productions and they shared many similarities.
In a short Facebook Live video, Psychic Sally says: "We had a lot in common, really when you think about the controversy that is attached to anyone that does this work.
"Derek, like myself, he never complained about that."
Morgan also revealed her empathy for Derek and his family as he faced stress before his death, which Acorah's wife Gwen revealed in the statement regarding his death.
Sally describes: "I do know that his poor wife this morning…he had a lot of trolls just before he passed apparently…"
Stating that she wanted to pass on her condolences after receiving a lot of calls this morning after news broke of Derek's death, Sally discusses the parallels between her and the late medium.
"It takes a lifetime to reach a certain level in this game," she explains. 'We never ever got to know one another but it's such sad news."
Sally also unveils what she felt would be happening to Derek now he has passed on.
"I know that he's with his loving family that have gone before him," she reveals, "and Colin will be there with him and Sam, of course."
These comments likely refer to late medium Colin Fry who passed away in 2015, while Sam refers to Acorah's apparent spirit guide .
While they differed on their styles as mediums, Sally spoke of her respect for Acorah and his work ethic.
In an address to Gwen Acorah, Sally speaks: "To his wife Gwen, I don't know you Gwen but I am sending you my condolences and my thoughts are with you and I totally get what Derek had gone through for many years, but hey, he stuck it out, he stuck to his guns, and good on you Derek."
The long-running TV psychic closes her speech with the positives of Acorah passing away.
She concludes: "He's in a much better place now, isn't he? He's with masses of love and he's around people that love him very, very much."
Sally also then rose her cup of tea in respect to Derek and noted he shares the same name as her father and uncle.
"The name Derek is very big in my life," she notes.
