The Congress party announced on Twitter on Tuesday, that Election strategist Prashant Kishor has declined the Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s offer to join the Congress party as part of the Empowered Action Group for the 2024 general elections. The announcement came a day after the Congress chief had announced the setting up of Empowered Action Group – EAG to deal with the political challenges in the run up to the next Lok Sabha polls.
Today morning Prashant Kishor tweeted: “My quest to be a meaningful participant in democracy & help shape pro-people policy led to a 10yr rollercoaster ride! As I turn the page, time to go to the Real Masters, THE PEOPLE,to better understand the issues & the path to Peoples Good Governance.”
It isn’t clear yet whether Prashant Kishor will form a new political outfit or join an existing party. The reports are coming that Prashant Kishor may form a new political party.
Prashant Kishor who, in 2014, played a major role in Narendra Modi’ rise to prime minister’ chair, has, in recent days, worked with the regional satraps, helping them win in their respective states. His recent clients include Arvind Kejriwal (Delhi CM), YS Jagan Mohan Reddy (Andhra Pradesh CM), Mamata Banerjee (West Bengal) and MK Stalin (Tamil Nadu), among others.
