A 17 years old girl, who went to a club for a party, was gang-raped by five people inside a car in Telangana’s Hyderabad on Saturday 28th May.  The police  registered a case against unknown persons based on a complaint by the girl’s father. The accused have been identified as Omer Khan and Saduddin Malik, a resident of Puppalaguda area in the city. The other three accused are minors.

The police nabbed Saduddin Malik on Friday. Initially, it was claimed that the crime took place inside a red Mercedes, belonging to an MLA. However, according to the police the crime took place in another vehicle, an Innova.

BJP had alleged that the son of a Waqf Board official and the grandson of a minister were involved in the gang rape crime. However, according to the police report the home minister’s grandson was not involved. The police also said,  “A TRS leader and Waqf Board chairman’s son, who is a juvenile, is involved in this case. We did not  get any evidence related to the AIMIM MLA son. We are trying to get more evidence.”
