CIMS to help police protect property of high-value business entities
The functioning of Central Intrusion Monitoring System (CIMS), a centralised monitoring system, was demonstrated at a jewellery outlet in the city on Monday under the supervision of Vijay Sakhare, Inspector General of Police and District Police Chief (Kochi City). He told reporters that the system would help monitor the premises and interiors of establishments, which would be linked to the police headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram.
It would help the police protect the property and wealth of high-value business entities such as banks, ATMs, treasuries, currency chests and jewellery outlets. The establishments would directly be linked to the police on a 24×7-basis for the first time in India, said a press release.
Those interested in getting connected to the system may register with the police.
