Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will on Tuesday release a 100-page booklet on the development works taken up by the government during its first 100 days in office.
The booklet will be used by the BJP during the byelections, to showcase the government’s work to the electorate.
It will be part of their counter to the Opposition Congress, which has decided to highlight the government’s “failure” in handling floods and drought in the State and the video clip of the Chief Minister on disqualified MLAs. The BJP has planned to focus on the Congress’s stance on Tipu Sultan and an old audio clip of Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah where he allegedly remarked that the H.D. Kumaraswamy-led coalition government would not last beyond the Lok Sabha elections.
Focus on work
The booklet focuses largely on relief measures by the government in north Karnataka, waiver of farm loans, implementation of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the new textile policy, and future plans of the government.
The BJP government refrained from celebrating its 100 days in office in a grand manner owing to rain devastation, sources said.
The district in-charge Ministers will release the booklet prepared by the Information and Public Relations Department in their respective districts in the coming days.
