Water special from Pune

Railways have again stepped in to provide drinking water to flood-affected Kerala by sending tanker wagons to Kayamkulam Junction.

From the Pune division of the Central Railway, 29 tanker wagons, including 14 from Pune and 15 from Ratlam, loaded with clean drinking water started journey from Pune on Saturday afternoon.

In Pune, a 15 HP pump was installed in quick time with temporary pipelines laid to fill these wagons. Fire brigade of Pune city too extended help to Railways.
