Tributes to CPI(M) leader

Hundreds of people, including party workers, disciples, colleagues and friends, paid tributes to CPI(M) leader and academic M. Muraleedharan when his mortal remains were placed at Menachery Towers and the CPI(M) district office in the city on Friday.

Prof. Muraleedharan, 71, died at a private hospital on Thursday. He was suffering from cancer. The body was handed over to Thrissur Medical College Hospital.

Those who paid tribute includes CPI(M) district secretary M.M. Varghese, LDF convenor A. Vijayaraghavan, Central Committee member K. Radhakrishnan, State secretariat member Baby John, Ministers A.C. Moideen and V.S. Sunil Kumar, and Congress leaders K.P. Viswanathan and Rajan Pallan.
