The Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur Gomateshwara tri-weekly Express (Train No 16576) did not operate between Mangaluru Junction and Hassan on Wednesday following landslips on the Shiradi Ghat stretch.
A release from Southern Railway’s Palakkad Division here said that landslips occurred between Sakleshpur and Subrahmanya Road Section under the Mysuru Division of the South Western Railway at 7.20 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.
While debris of the first landslip was cleared, that of the second was still being cleared, the release said. Consequently, Train No 16515, Yeshwantpur-Karwar tri-weekly Express too was cancelled between Hassan and Karwar, said a release from Konkan Railway Corporation. The landslips occurred between Shiribagilu and Yedakumeri on the Shiradi Ghat, the release added.
