CPI State secretary K. Ramakrishna and his CPI(M) counterpart P. Madhu on Friday said people were fed up with the policies of the Union and State governments.
They were speaking at a meeting organised here to discuss issues pertaining to north Andhra and the need to forge an alternative political platform. Apart from leaders of the Left parties, those from the JSP, Lok Satta, AAP, and BSP attended the meeting. Mr. Ramakrishna said the NDA and TDP governments were neglecting people’s issues. Mr. Madhu expressed concern over the backwardness of the north Andhra region. Lok Satta Party State president B. Babji said the government failed to revive sick industries in the district. JSP leader T. Rama Krishna hoped the Opposition would be united in facing the “money power” of the ruling parties.
