Telangana Industries and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao has hailed 14-year-old chess prodigy, E. Arjun, who became the first-ever Grandmaster from the State, and assured him all help from the government’s end.
Appreciated the Warangal boy, who has faced numerous challenges in his journey to the top, the Minister said, “As far as the government is concerned, it will ensure that the best possible help is extended to the young champion in his pursuit of excellence at the highest level.”
Arjun was introduced to Mr. Rama Rao by the Sports Authority of Telangana State chairman A. Venkateshwar Reddy at the Pragati Bhavan on Monday. Power Minister Jagdishwar Reddy was also present on the occasion.
SATS chief for Asiad
Mr. Venkateshwar Reddy has been deputed by the State government to visit the ongoing Asian Games in Indonesia. He will visit the venues where India has the chance of winning medals, till the end of the Games.
