Kochi metro sees more footfall

Kochi metro recorded marginal increase in ridership on Tuesday as compared to Monday in the wake of the motor vehicle strike.

A total of 31,919 passengers commuted in the metro as on 7 p.m. on Tuesday, as compared to the corresponding time span on Monday when 28,908 relied on the metro, said the KMRL spokesperson. This has been attributed to buses and autos keeping off the road, while presence of taxi cars was minimal.
