District Congress Committee official spokesperson Gajjela Kantham has ridiculed the ruling TRS leaders for alleging that the Congress was obstructing developmental works launched by the State government.
Reminding the State government of the promises made during the elections, he asked whether the Congress was obstructing the distribution of the three acres of land to the dalits, double bedroom housing scheme, 12% quota to Muslims and 10% quota to tribals etc.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, he launched a scathing attack against the State government for not taking measures for chalking out an action plan to mitigate drought like situations prevailing in the State with deficit rainfall.
Finding fault with the government for shifting waters from the Sripada Yellampalli project to the Mid Manair Dam and to the Mallannasagar project, he demanded that the government first provide water to the people of erstwhile Karimnagar district in general and Choppadandi assembly segment in particular.
He said that they would agitate over the diversion of water.
