During the dealings with land, people should ensure that the stretch does not fall under any barred category, Chief Commissioner of Land Administration A.C. Punetha has said.
At a meeting with revenue officials at the Collector’s Office here on Tuesday, he reviewed the status resolving applications under ‘22-A’ and maintenance of the registers related to it.
“State and Central governments, Endowment, Wakf, assigned and ceiling lands and those uner litigation and objectionable stretches cann’t be removed from the ‘22-A’ list in view of the cases coming to light,” he said.
Anyone purchasing land should also ensure that it does not belong to the VUDA or the GVMC, Mr. Punetha suggested.
In Visakhapatnam district, 697 of the 1,617 applications received at grama sabhas to resolve ‘22-A’ issues have been disposed of and 920 are under process, he said . In Vizianagaram, 110 of the 343 and in Srikakulam 118 of the 556 have also been cleared.
