Congress’ remarks on TRS manifesto ridiculous: Kadiyam

TRS senior leader and caretaker Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari lashed out at Congress for its remark that the former had copied its manifesto.

“It’s ridiculous to say that we copied their manifesto as they have not come out with one yet,” he said. Mr. Srihari also denied allegations regarding his daughter or himself joining the Congress party. He said of the total revenue of about Rs. 1.5 lakh crore, the TRS party allocated nearly Rs. 65,000 crore for welfare programmes and has decided to enhance the pension of all sections. “Unlike the Congress, the TRS did not promise anything that was impractical. They should come out clearly on how they can waive Rs. 2 lakh loan of each farmer. It is wrong to promise heaven just for the sake of power. The Congress has never implemented its manifesto promises in the past and they only indulge in amassing wealth. If Congress comes to power again, their leaders will resort to corruption. Already, several of its leaders were facing corruption charges,” he said.

Mr. Srihari and MPs A. Sitaram Naik, Banda Prakash and P. Dayakar appealed to the people not to vote for the Congress party as the development that was taking place in the State would be stalled.

They said in the next two or three years, the ongoing irrigation projects in the State – Kaleswaram, Devadula, Palamuru and others – would be completed for people to see the results.
