Airlines asked to boost services to Kerala

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has asked domestic airlines to operate more flights to Kerala.

“In view of closure of #Kochi airport, to ensure passengers are not inconvenienced, DGCA has asked scheduled domestic airlines to mount additional flights,” Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu tweeted.

IndiGo has announced that it would operate more flights to and from Kozhikode, Coimbatore and Thiruvananthapuram.

Several flight services from cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi would be operated to Thiruvananthapuram, while flights from Chennai and Mumbai would be operated to Kozhikode, from August 19 to 25.
