16,672 candidates for SI exam in Nalgonda

District Superintendent of Police A. V. Ranganath on Friday said all measures were put in place for the Telangana State Police Sub-Inspectors examination to be conducted on Sunday.

A total of 16, 672 candidates would take the test in 42 exam centres in Nalgonda, he informed. To ensure peaceful conduct of the exam, about 300 police personnel from all ranks will be in the field.

Nodal officer for the examination Additional SP Padmanabha Reddy who visited some centres in the town said Section 144 would be enforced on the exam day. Stores operating photocopying, Internet and related services would be shut down. Mr. Ranganath said all procedures will be followed strictly, including candidates entry, biometric attendance and things to carry. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall, even if they are delayed by a minute, he said.
