Zara McDermott has revealed that her boyfriend Adam Collard has been offered thousands to dump her.
The Love Island star says she knows the Geordie hunk is 100% committed to her because he’s turned down a string of offers that would have meant splitting up with her.
The brunette beauty, who met her fella on the ITV2 dating show, reckons Adam could have a much bigger career if he got rid of her.
She told the Daily Star : "If I’m completely honest, I think Adam would be more successful in his career by himself. He could go on loads of dating shows and be the single player ‘lad’ type.
"He’s been offered hundreds of thousands of pounds to go on shows and do certain things that he would have to be single to do.
"He just turns them all down. There’s no better way than saying he’s serious about me than that."
Adam and Zara are one of just a few couples still going strong in the outside world.
Zara has also revealed how she was approached to take part in the show.
The former government advisor, 22, was working for the Department of Education and dabbling in some "minor Instagram influencing" when she was approached by ITV last February.
Love Island producers got in touch with the brunette after being intrigued by her Instagram account, which featured a mix of sexy bikini photos and photos of her at work in Westminster.
Recalling the first message she received from ITV, she said: "It said, ‘Would you like to have a chat about an upcoming show that’s on ITV2 in the summer?’ It doesn’t take a brain scientist to work out what that is."
Zara admitted she had briefly discussed the idea of being on a reality show with her mother weeks earlier, but had sworn off it.
She said: "Would I do reality TV and I said absolutely never. I said you couldn’t pay me [to do it]. I love my job too much."
When a Love Island researcher invited Zara to film an audition tape, she declined: "I was like, ‘No, I don’t wanna do that.’"
But she later changed her mind.
