Jack Wilshere fell victim to a brutal prank orchestrated by West Ham team-mates Mark Noble and Aaron Cresswell recently – and it was extremely cringeworthy.
The Irons’ summer singing agreed to take part in an interview with club sponsors Betway but little did he know the whole thing was a set up.
The 26-year-old was in fact sitting down with an actor called Lee who was hired to play the role of a clueless reporter.
In the next room, West Ham stars Noble and Cresswell sat with a microphone feeding questions to the actor.
Lee started off fairly clumsily by spilling water down himself or calling Wilshere, John, while on the phone to his ‘girlfriend’ (Noble).
But then things got a bit awkward when he intimated Wilshere would return to Arsenal once his deal at West Ham is up.
The final blow for Wilshere, who was getting visibly agitated by the interview, was when Lee asked him to forge Noble’s signature on his team-mate’s shirt.
But luckily for the midfielder, who was willing to go through with it, he was interrupted by Noble and Cresswell who came in cheering.
