Watch Fall Out Boy’s Failed Prank Attempt in ‘Heartbreak Feels So Good’ MV

“Heartbreak Feels So Good” is set to appear on Fall Out Boy’s upcoming eighth album, “So Much (for) Stardust”. The project, which marks their first album since 2018’s “Mania”, is slated to be released on March 24.

AceShowbizFall Out Boy‘s music video for “Heartbreak Feels So Good” is one of a kind. The visuals, released on Wednesday, January 25, sees the rock band failing to execute a prank in Los Angeles.

The clip opens with Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz and Andy Hurley preparing to kidnap [=Rivers Cuomo] inside a van. “You’re gonna jump out of the van and grab me or something?” the Weezer lead vocalist asks Pete. “I am not really sure about this.”

The trio then jumps out of the car and grabs Rivers, but their plan doesn’t work as planned as they’re caught in a brawl with a motorcycle gang. The group then tries to escape by creating chaos in a street festival.

Patrick, Pete and Andy later arrive at an empty stadium. After calling their bandmate Joe Trohman to inform their arrival, Joe asks why they are there since “the show is next weekend.”

Earlier this month, Joe announced that he will be “stepping away” from FOB “for a spell” for his well-being. “Neil Young once howled that it’s better to burn out than to fade away. But I can tell you unequivocally that burning out is dreadful,” he said in a statement on the band’s Instagram page.

“Without divulging all the details, I must disclose that my mental health has rapidly deteriorated over the past several years,” Joe added. “So, to avoid fading away and never returning, I will be taking a break from work which regrettably includes stepping away from Fall Out Boy for a spell.”
