Sonchiriya box office collection day 2: Sushant Singh Rajput’s dacoit drama FAILS to grow, earns Rs 2.70 crore

After taking a low opening on its first day, Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Sonchiriya failed to show growth on its second day at the ticket windows. The dacoit drama raked in merely Rs 1.50 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 2.70 crore. Looking at the current scenario, it clearly seems that the film has been rejected by the audience and are preferring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon’s Luka Chuppi over it.

Despite getting positive reviews from the movie buffs, the film has failed to find the audience due to its genre, which is not at all a commercially friendly genre. Our critic Urmimala Banerjee gave the film 2.5 stars and said, “Despite the flaws, Sonchiriya is complete cinema. Some powerful performances and social commentary are the biggest takeaways from the film. It does not entertain per se but presents an honest picture of an India many millennials might be unaware of…” So, are you planning to watch the film? Tweet to us @Bollywood_Life.
