Actress Sheridan Smith has separated from her fiancé Jamie Horn “with great sadness” after three years together – and a source has told new! she is “struggling” in the wake of the split.

“Sheridan is struggling to get through the split,” our source said. “She put him out there for everyone to see and she really thought he was The One.”

The pair met on dating app Tinder in 2018 and got engaged shortly afterwards. Their relationship continued to accelerate and they welcomed son Billy in May last year.

But their engagement wasn’t without its hiccups. In 2019, Sheridan, 40, accused Jamie’s mum of killing her dog and threatening her “every day” in a now deleted tweet.

She later apologised for making the claims.

But our source said that although the pair put their differences aside, the damage was done.

“She had the public falling out with his mother and they got through all of that, but sadly it hasn’t worked out,” they explained.

Our source also revealed that Sheridan’s split has brought back the painful memories of losing her beloved dad to cancer in 2016.

“She’s devastated. This has brought back all the feelings of missing her dad because he was her tower of strength,” they said.

Sheridan and Jamie announced their decision to separate in a statement that read, “It is with great sadness that we have decided to have some time apart. We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together.”

And while our source said Sheridan is hoping this may not be the end for her and Jamie, she suspects it is over for good.

“In her heart she’s hoping they can make it right, but it doesn’t look like there’s any way back,” the source added. “They have
a baby together and it’s tough. She’s heartbroken.”
