Chitty Chitty Bang Bang star Sally Anne Howes has died aged 91. The actress, who played Truly Scrumptious in the 1968 musical film alongside Dick Van Dyke, died on Sunday.
Sally enjoyed a varied career that spanned six decades both on screen and stage.
Her big break came when she was just 12 years old and starred in the movie Thursday’s Child.
Following positive reviews, she went on to be contracted by Ealing Studios.
But it was only when she replaced Julie Andrews in My Fair Lady on Broadway that she became a household name.
