Pete Davidson Spills on 'Dope' Ariana Grande Proposal, Having #BDE and 'Dweeb' Donald Trump

The ‘SNL’ star was profiled by Variety for its Power of Young Hollywood issue and he kept it real.

Thanks to his recent (and extremely quick) engagement to Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson is seemingly everywhere. His latest appearance: the cover of Variety, where he once again gushed over his new fiancée.

Though both Pete, 24, and Ariana, 25, have teased how the "SNL" star popped the question, Davidson went into more detail with the publication, saying he "didn’t want to do something corny."

"We were in bed hanging, after watching a movie. I was like, ‘Will you marry me?’ It was really dope," he explained. Grande was previously asked if he was high when he proposed. Her answer at the time: "He’s always high!"

"I’m still convinced she’s blind or hit her head really hard," he joked with the publication. "Something is going to happen, and she’s going to be like, ‘What the f–k is this thing doing around?’ For right now, it’s rocking." The lovey-dovey talk didn’t end there though, as he went on to call her the "f–king coolest, hottest, nicest person" he’s ever met. "I’m f–king living the goddamn dream," he added, "I feel like I’m living in fantasyland."

Of course, with that Grande engagement came a ton of attention from social media, the press and paparazzi. "The internet is evil, and I don’t like how it affects me," said Davidson, who recently deleted his personal Instagram. "I don’t like how the internet is a place where anybody can shit on you and make anything up. I’ve worked really hard to get my brain to this place. I can’t go online like everybody else because it’s just a f–k-fest. And now I get to enjoy my life."

The one positive thing to come out of the attention, however, is the notion that Davidson is packing below the belt after Grande seemingly tweeted about his manhood. Twitter began saying he had "Big Dick Energy," something he admitted he doesn’t hate. "I’m just really, really happy, and if that means I have big-dick energy, then sick," he said. "My favorite thing was my mom was like, ‘Peter, they’re saying you had a big penis just like your father.’ What the f–k!"

Davidson also spoke with Variety about Donald Trump, revealing that he actually auditioned to play POTUS for "SNL" before Alec Baldwin landed the job.

"It was bad," he explained. "First of all, I’m 10 pounds, so I looked insane. They made us all get dressed up and tanned up. I sounded like Thunderlips from ‘Rocky III.’ It was a nightmare. If I could get my hands on this tape, it’s embarrassing as f–k."

Trump himself also hosted the show in 2015, when he was then just a presidential hopeful. "It wasn’t the most fun week ever," he said of working with Donald. "He doesn’t get jokes. He doesn’t get tone. He doesn’t get punch lines. He’ll say words differently. He’s just a dweeb."

"Dude, any president that is taking pictures of himself on a private plane eating Kentucky Fried Chicken is a f–king psycho," Davidson added. "What are you? A f–king Kardashian?"
