People like Vikas Bahl and Hrithik Roshan should be boycotted, says Kangana Ranaut over sexual harassment row

It was long coming but it sure seems like the world is finally ready to listen. Tanushree Dutta and her #MeToo story against Bollywood veteran Nana Patekar raised an alarm that has now grown into a full-fledged movement against sexual predators and names are coming out of the closet as we speak. Women like Sandhya Mridul and Vinta Nanda have led their voices to the furore and the courage with which they have only encouraged more women to stand up and out men like Vikas Bahl and the likes.

If you’re not in the know, sexual harassment claims against Queen director Vikas Bahl recently came to the fore. A can of worms opened up which ultimately led to the death of Phantom films. Anurag Kashyap, Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena had jointly founded Phantom Films in 2011, and it was particularly harrowing because it was a former employee who came out in the open and accused Bahl of masturbating at her. In the hindsight, actors like Kangana Ranaut went on to slam him and out even more jaw-dropping details of he had behaved inappropriately with her during the shooting of Queen. Even Hrithik Roshan broke his silence recently and requests producers of Super 30 to take necessary action against the director. But it seems like Kangana is far from settling for that. In another shot of fire, while speaking to Zee News, the actress stated that Bahl deserves coming his way and more. Not just that she also aimed shots at Hrithik, for obvious reasons. She said, “Whatever is happening with Vikas Bahl is absolutely correct. There are many people like Vikas Bahl he is not the only one. We still have a lot of work to do it so we should not start the celebrations as yet. We have a long way to go. We have to make this place absolutely safe for women. There are men who make false promises of love and marriage to a girl to get them into a relationship that is also a type of harassment. There are married men keep their wives as trophies and keep young girls as their mistresses like Hrithik. Nobody should work with such people. They should be boycotted.”
