Bundle of joy
I’d like to wish a huge congratulations to Love Island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury who announced the birth of their first child last week.
The pair have opted for a rather different name for their daughter, choosing Bambi.
I’ve seen a few people mocking their choice, but each to their own!
Names are important to each individual couple – we don’t know the special reason they might have decided on that one.
The most important thing in the world is that their baby is happy, healthy and loved. I wish the three of them the best.
Movie night
My favourite TV pick this week is the brand new Netflix movie, You People.
The film centres on the realities of being an interracial couple and how the cultures of the two families – one a Black, Muslim family, and the other a white, Jewish family – can clash in the most hilarious of ways.
It covers several important and sensitive topics, but in a way the viewer can enjoy.
It’s amazing to see Eddie Murphy back on our screens.
He steals the spotlight in this movie and it’s great to see him reprising his skills in comedy.
Lust Island
It’s certainly been a dramatic week in the Love Island villa.
Apart from Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga who are really loved up, none of the couples this year seem solid at all.
They’re swapping partners left, right and centre.
Everyone fancies each other and won’t settle down.
I can’t see Casa Amor starting any dramas, they’ll all be welcoming some new girls and guys to crack on with!
I was sad to see Zara [Lackenby-Brown] (pictured) leave the villa, but the boys simply couldn’t take her fiery energy and love of drama.
She put all of her eggs into Tom [Clare]’s basket and came in hard, but she’d only been there a week!
That was her biggest mistake.
Holding Matt to account
Last week, former health secretary Matt Hancock was challenged on Good Morning Britain by presenter Susanna Reid over his failure to comply with his own Covid-19 rules during the pandemic.
Matt was squirming in his seat as Susanna grilled him.
She had all the facts and figures to hold him accountable and it was amazing to see.
She really is a great journalist.
Kate Garraway also took the opportunity to confront him, as the law he introduced – and later broke – meant she and her kids were unable to visit her husband Derek in hospital.
Kate held back tears as she told him everything people all over the UK wished they could.
Both women should be incredibly proud of holding their own during what was an extremely difficult interview.
Nerves are kicking in!
Last week, I performed stand-up at a secret London gig to practise for my upcoming The One Like Judi Love tour, which I still can’t believe is commencing in just over a month!
It was great to get out there and practise some of my new material in front of a live audience.
I’m still nervous, but I know it’s going to be an incredible experience.
I also appeared on Good Morning Britain and The One Show last week to discuss my forthcoming performances, which left me hungry to get out there!
There are only a few tickets left for the show – eek!
