Love Island's Scott Van Der Sluis was dumped from the villa on Wednesday night's episode, 26 July, alongside Abi Moores, after putting the brakes on their romance.
Since leaving the villa, Scott has spoken about his biggest regrets on the show, and declared 'there's no going back' about a certain ex-Islander.
The 22 year old Welsh professional footballer had an uncertain experience on the show, after first striking up a romance with Catherine Agbaje, before being left standing alone at the fire pit when she chose to recouple with Elom Ahlijah Wilson after Casa Amor, with that couple later dumped from the villa.
He then set his sights on Abi, who had been to-ing and fro-ing between him and Mitchel Taylor, and when Scott and Abi coupled up, it seemed things were going places, until she questioned whether he really liked her.
Her fears were finally confirmed when Scott pulled her for a chat and told her that he thought it would be better if they were just friends, before they were dumped from the villa after coming in the bottom three couples of the publicly-voted 'least compatible couple' – with their exit ultimately being decided by their fellow Islanders.
After his exit, Scott opened up on his feelings about Catherine choosing to recouple after Casa Amor, whilst he remained loyal to her.
He explained: "I didn’t think I told Catherine enough before Casa Amor about how I was feeling. At the same time I stayed loyal when I had the opportunity to go elsewhere.
"It wasn’t as if I went into Casa Amor and no-one liked me – I spoke to Gabby a bit but chose to stay loyal to Catherine. She didn’t do the same thing but hopefully it works out for her. Once the situation is put to bed for me, it’s done and there is no going back."
Scott also touched on his villa regrets, as he said that he wished he'd put more time into getting to know Leah Taylor and Gabby Jeffery.
He said: "I think when I first came in, it was between Catherine and Leah but I don’t think I went about the Leah situation the way I should’ve.
"I think she held a grudge against me for the rest of her time in the Villa. Maybe I could have gotten to know Leah a bit more than I did."
Speaking about Gabby and his experience on the show in general, Scott explained: "I’ve enjoyed the experience thoroughly. I don’t regret anything I've done. In hindsight, maybe I should have gotten to know Gabby better at Casa Amor but I stayed honest with myself and enjoyed every moment of it.
