Love Island stars still raking it in as one is tipped to land big deal this year

ITV’s Love Island is a dating show that sees contestants find connections and even fall in love, as viewers vote for their favourite couples in order to see them walk away hand-in-hand with the £50,000 cash prize.

However, another bonus from the series in recent years has been that many contestants have been able to secure lucrative brand deals and sponsorships following their stints on the show.

The deals tend to be tied to the star’s marketability and often their popularity with audiences during their time in the villa.

While many contestants pursue careers in presenting, modelling and social media influencing – or even return to their day jobs – some are lucky enough to land huge paychecks straight after exiting the show.

Undoubtedly the most famous Love Island star to make waves in the fashion world is Molly-Mae Hague, who was made Creative Director of major fashion brand Pretty Little Thing.

However, the star, who recently got engaged to Love Island beau Tommy Fury, has recently decided to step down from the role after less than two years to focus on being a mum to their adorable baby girl Bambi.

Another former Love Island contestant who was able to land a deal with Pretty Little Thing was footballing legend Michael Owen’s daughter, Gemma Owen.

Gemma became a brand ambassador for the fashion giant after placing second in Love Island’s 2022 series with now ex-boyfriend, Luca Bish.

Fashion brand In The Style has been another source of deals for ex-islanders, with both season 4’s Dani Dyer and season 6’s Shaughna Phillips releasing their own clothing lines.

While she didn’t make it to the final, Shaughna proved to be so popular on the ITV show that she was reportedly offered a six-figure deal by the fashion brand immediately after leaving the villa.

Meanwhile, series 4 winner Dani, who is the daughter of EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, reportedly signed a £500,000 deal to design her own range for In The Style after the show ended in 2018.

As for more recent series, Winter Love Island 2023 finalist Tom Clare became the first contestant to land a huge brand deal after leaving the villa.

The Macclesfield FC player, who came in third place with ex-girlfriend Samie Elishi on the show, secured a role as eBay’s pre-loved ambassador.

Another contestant to secure a huge deal with eBay was season 8 contestant Tasha Ghouri, who came fourth with her boyfriend Andrew Le Page.

Tasha was announced as the first ever pre-loved ambassador with eBay after the show ended and also reportedly went on to sign a six-figure deal with L’Oreal.

Another season 8 star to land on her feet was Indiyah Polack, who placed third with boyfriend Dami Hope.

Indiyah reportedly signed a lucrative deal with Boots before becoming co-host of Love Island’s Morning After podcast alongside Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson.

Who is tipped to win the big brand deal this season? 


While the winner of Love Island 2023 is yet to be determined, it was reported last month that one contestant was already picked out as a candidate for multiple brand deals just days into the show.

It seems Molly Marsh attracted a number of brand deals when she first entered the villa, according to previous reports.

The ITV contestant even reportedly landed a six-figure deal with on particularly big fashion brand just four days into entering the villa.

While the brand that supposedly showed interest in the panto star has not yet been revealed, it has also been claimed that she has already received a series of other offers from clothing, jewellery and beauty retailers.

Molly is the daughter of Coronation Street star Janet Marsh and has since proved to be a divisive figure on this year’s series of Love Island.

While she was originally coupled up with Mitchel Taylor, she went on to continue her Love Island journey with Zachariah Noble.

The apparent new interest in Molly from brands comes after Love Island’s winter cohort of contestants failed to spark a big interest from companies.

A source told the Sun last month: “There were hardly any deals done after winter, the only notable signing was Tom Clare for eBay.

“It was a far cry from the heady days of Ekin-Su, Paige, Indiyah, Gemma and Tasha all inking contracts for fashion and beauty immediately after they left the villa.

“But Molly seems to have awakened the thirst from brands to work with Islanders and already has a number of offers on the table.

“The biggest is a six-figure fee from a big fashion brand.”

The source added to the publication: “Molly has huge appeal for brands – she is likeable and down to earth with good family values as well as of course being gorgeous.”
