Some viewers of ITV morning show Lorraine, featuring TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, 61, have been left less than impressed with the mother-of-one repeatedly “plugging” her daughter Rosie Smith, 27. The duo are currently starring together on Celebrity Gogglebox and have also started podcast ‘What if?’, which sees them interview celebrity guests every week. But after the Scottish star seemingly brought up her daughter one too many times, those watching took to social media to vent their frustration.

On Monday’s show, the proud mother discussed Rosie as it was her birthday.
Wishing her a happy 27th birthday, the star addressed the idea of becoming a grandmother on yesterday’s show.
Speaking about Prince Harry and Meghan naming their daughter after the Queen, the presenter revealed her childhood name.
Lorraine said: “In the last hour, sources close to Harry and Meghan have revealed the Queen was the first person that they called after the birth of their daughter Lilibet and she was very supportive of the name.
“I was wondering though, say for example my Rosie had a daughter and she decided to call her after me, which would be Lorraine, but my nickname when I was a kid was ‘Shababa’,” she added as crew members laughed.
Backtracking, Lorraine insisted that Rosie wouldn’t go as far as to name her child Shababa.
“I mean she never would!” she clarified.
Lorraine added: “So I’m just not sure, but you know what, it’s a wee baby, she’s gorgeous and it’s all fine… and the Queen is obviously delighted.”
The ITV host went on to address her and Rosie being cast in Celebrity Gogglebox, which proved too much for some viewers of the popular daytime show today.
Taking to Twitter, many vented their frustration at the host constantly bringing up her offspring.
One wrote: “Is it me or is #lorraine subliminally (or not so much) lining up Rosie for a job??”
Another added: “Sick of Rosie!!!! #Lorraine.”
While a third penned: “Still plugging ‘wee Rosie’. Don’t worry I’m sure she’ll get a TV contract soon #Lorraine.”
One social media user added that the star could be hinting at her own mother-daughter presenting show.
They wrote: “What’s next ‘the Lorraine & Rosie show?’ #Lorraine.”
Addressing the subject of Harry and Meghan, another added: “#Lorraine Don’t understand why Lorraine talks about Harry and Meghan she’s always throwing shade towards them.
“The only opinion that matters is the Queen she’s OK with the name move on,” one person tweeted.
Yesterday the ITV host took to social media to wish her daughter a happy birthday.
Alongside a sweet snap of her family, Lorraine wrote: “Happy birthday to my bright and beautiful, funny, fabulous daughter Rosie @rosiekellysmith.
“This was SIX years ago when she turned 21 – happy times! #birthday #family #love #happy.”
Lorraine is on ITV on weekdays at 9am.
