Lisa Armstrong is ‘ready to move on’ from Ant McPartlin as she goes back to work

Ant McPartlin’s estranged wife has told pals she is on course for a fresh start after her split from the TV host.

Make-up artist Lisa Armstrong, 41, is back working in television for the first time since their January separation.

She joined staff on the set of In For A Penny, including presenter Stephen Mulhern, and was said to be in “high spirits” – laughing and joking.

A source told the Sunday People: “She has told friends that she is ready to move on with her life now.”

Lisa has worked on Strictly Come Dancing for 11 years, the same duration as her marriage to troubled Saturday Night Takeaway frontman Ant.

And she went online last week to counter criticism that she was only employed in the industry because of her relationship with him.

She tweeted: “For the record, I’ve worked and got my own work for the last 15 years in my own name! #justsaying #businessasusual #stopmakingstuffup x.”

Her return to action came after weeks sunning herself in Los Angeles.

While in California, where she was said to have been joined by her parents, she got a new blonde hairdo as well as wrist tattoos of dog paws and a symbol of strength.

Our source said: “Being in America did her the world of good and she is back to her best.”

It emerged last month that her ex Ant, 42, was seeing his personal assistant Anne-Marie Corbett.

The mum-of-two has been supporting him since his drink-drive crash in March, for which he was fined £86,000 and banned from the road for 20 months.

He had earlier been in rehab for addiction problems.

Lisa is now said to be preparing for divorce. Friends say she and Ant are speaking only through lawyers.
