I’m A Celeb’s Helen Flanagan and Dean Gaffney admit to angering bosses

In a confessional tell-all to be screened in tonight’s episode of I’m A Celebrity South Africa, Helen Flanagan and Dean Gaffney are all set to reveal the most irritating habits they had which drove their soap bosses to distraction.

For 32-year-old Helen, it was her penchant for fake fan, which risked her look changing unexpectedly in Coronation Street.

“I used to get in trouble all the time because of my fake tan,” the Rosie Webster actress confessed.

“One time I’d be really pale and then the next time I’d be bright orange.

“They go mental if you do stuff like that, they go absolutely mental. They flip if continuity changes mid-scene!” she explained.

Meanwhile, Dean chimed in with his own story, admitting that his make-up team at EastEnders had been left “fuming” after an eyebrow tint caused last minute panic.

“I was going to Dubai so I nipped off between scenes for a tint but I fell asleep and [the beautician] left it on too long,” he wryly recalled.

“First person I saw was Danny Dyer. He was like, ‘You alright son?’ but make-up were fuming.

“They were rubbing at them for ages, exfoliating, all sorts,” the 45-year-old actor, who first appeared as Robbie Jackson way back in 1993, revealed.

Meanwhile, Helen admitted that her stint in the South African jungle had left her extremely emotional as she’d “never left her babies before”.

She shares three children with ex Scott Sinclair – seven-year-old Matilda, four-year-old Delilah and tiny toddler Charlie, who is not yet two.

Helen recently admitted that her life was not merely chaotic on the cobbles, but that her home life was equally hectic, “every single day”.

After a homeward flight from Dubai was delayed, and the actress narrowly avoided losing her phone and the family’s iPads, Charlie launched into a full-on tantrum – something she is now accustomed to him doing.

In one emotional Instagram tribute, she admitted that although caring for three young kids under ten can be a challenge, she loves them all and wouldn’t change her life for the world.

Though she had to be away from them for her second stint in the jungle, filmed last year, her Corrie co-star Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt) previously told OK! magazine: “Everything she does is for her children, and you can really tell!”

The I’m A Celebrity action continues tonight at 9pm on ITV, where Helen and Dean can be seen discussing the telling-offs they received at work after changing their looks.
