Victoria Beckham is still set to make millions from the Spice Girls reunion – despite not taking part.
Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner are set to announce details of their comeback today, but fashion designer Victoria won’t be part of it.
But that doesn’t mean she won’t see any of the profits.
The remaining members of the group – known to fans around the world as Scary Spice, Sporty Spice, Baby Spice and Ginger Spice – will announce plans for their stadium tour in a social media video later today.
And while Posh Spice won’t be actively involved, she’ll still pocket a whopping pot of cash.
Spice Girls reunion tour
That’s because she owns an equal stake in the Spice Girls brand, according to reports.
As an original member of the pop group, who rose to fame in the 1990s, Victoria, 44, has a significant stake in both the image and music rights.
So the girls taking to the stage to perform their hits like Wannabe, Spice Up Your Life and 2 Become 1 could send cash flying into Victoria’s bank account.
The foursome going on tour will announce their plans in a social media video this afternoon, reports The Sun .
The newspaper says the video will be posted on newly-created accounts for the band, and that the new line-up will record an interview for The Jonathan Ross Show on Wednesday, for broadcast on ITV on Saturday.
Rumours of a reunion have been rumbling on ever since the fivesome were reunited for a meeting with their old manager Simon Fuller at Geri’s home in North London.
The first picture of them all together in years saw a huge social media response, with fans desperate to know when they coud hear the girl band’s hit songs live once more.
The group last performed together at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics in London.
But this tour will be their first since 2008.
This isn’t the first time the Spice Girls have been a four-piece.
They stayed together for two years from 1998 to 2000 after Geri quit to go solo.
