Prince Harry, 36, recently appeared on the Apple TV+ series The Me You Can’t See where he made more revelations about the Royal Family. Following his appearance, Sky News presenter Kay Burley has hit out at the Duke of Sussex saying how it is “horrible to see a family unravelling so publicly”.
Kay tweeted out after reports Charles was left “deeply hurt” by Prince Harry’s latest television appearance.
The broadcaster urged the Duke of Sussex to think of his own family’s mental health as well.
She penned in view of her 516,000 followers: “Horrible to see a family unravelling so publicly.
“At what stage will Harry start to worry about the mental health of his 72-year-old father and his 95-year-old grandmother who has just lost her husband of 73 years.”
Prince Harry is one of the executive producers of the new Apple TV+ series along with Oprah Winfrey.
The show sees the royal and Oprah open up about their own experiences as well as other prolific people.
During one of the episodes, Prince Harry spoke about his father Prince Charles after the death of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales.
He said: “My father used to say to me when I was younger, he used to say to both William and I, ‘Well it was like that for me so it’s going to be like that for you.’
“That doesn’t make sense. Just because you suffered doesn’t mean that your kids have to suffer, in fact quite the opposite.
“If you suffered, do everything you can to make sure that whatever negative experiences you had, that you can make it right for your kids.”
The Sun has reported these criticisms have left Prince Charles “hurt deeply”
An insider told the paper: “Father and son relations are at their lowest ever point.
“Charles is just at a loss about what to do.
“Harry doesn’t seem to take into account that parenting styles have radically changed over recent years, especially the role a father plays.
“It’s just so wounding to him (Charles), he’s a sensitive man and these personal attacks hurt deeply.
“He can’t understand why Harry is doing this to him.”
Many of Kay’s followers responded to her tweet on social media, airing their own views.
One replied: “I agree @KayBurley I like Harry & Megan but this needs to stop.
“I feel so sorry for The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William.”
A second penned: “All families have problems. I can’t see it helps to bring it into the full glare of the public.
“I really hope they can find a way through this without the world poking its nose in.”
Another defended Prince Harry, writing: “Perhaps the Prince of Wales should have considered the effect his behaviour would have had on his first wife and subsequently The Queen and her reign.
“The Duke of Cambridgeshire could learn a lesson too. It would seem that history is repeating itself.”
A second agreed, adding: “What are you suggesting?
“That he should just keep everything bottled up in case it hurts someone else’s feelings?
“I thought we now wanted hidden issues (not just mental health) brought into the open so they can be dealt with.”
