Harry Redknapp is already talking up this year’s I’m a Celebrity.
As exclusively revealed by the Mirror last week, the legendary football manager has signed up for this year’s popular ITV show.
The ex-West Ham and Tottenham boss, 71, is set to head Down Under along with a host of celebrities battling it out to be crowned this year’s King of the Jungle.
It is understood Redknapp will pocket around £100,000 on this year’s show as he follows in the footsteps of famous footballers such as Dennis Wise, Kieron Dyer, Jimmy Bullard, Neil Ruddock, Rodney Marsh, John Fashanu and Wayne Bridge.
And Redknapp was quizzed for the first time about appearing on next month’s series as he spoke to talkSPORT breakfast host Alan Brazil.
Redknapp did not deny he was heading to Australia and even revealed he how would step up his preparations for the crepy-crawlies that will await him.
“I’m trying not to think about it all," said Redknapp after admitting he wasn’t "allowed" to say anything.
“I might go and sleep in the New Forest for a week in preparation!”
Redknapp has spoken to one of his former West Ham players Neil Ruddock about appearing on the show.
“He said it was the toughest thing he’s ever done," Redknapp added.
“You could imagine Razor not eating for a month, it would have killed him!”
Football fans will he hoping Harry, who is dad to Sky Sports pundit Jamie and uncle to Derby boss Frank Lampard, spills some secrets from his incredible three decades in management.
Whatever happens, Redknapp is guaranteed to provide plenty of entertainment in the jungle.
He previously admitted that he would struggle to get through a day without wife Sandra to prop him up.
He said: “I wouldn’t cope. I’m useless. She treats me like a baby. She does everything.
"I can’t cook, I can’t make a coffee, I can’t do nothing.”
