Piers Morgan has taken to Twitter to air his disbelief at Prince Harry landing a book deal for his memoir. The outspoken presenter reacted to the news earlier today in view of his 7.9 million followers.

He penned: “You’ve got to be f***ing joking?????” as he retweeted the news.

Piers was reacting to a tweet confirming the news from the ITV royal editor Chris Ship.

This read: “Prince Harry will write his memoirs @penguinrandom calls it an ‘intimate and heartfelt memoir from one of the most fascinating and influential global figures of our time’.

“He will share his ‘adventures, losses, and life lessons’ says the publisher. Out in late 2022.”

Piers then followed up his tweet with another hitting out at “Prince Privacy”.

He was reacting to the description by royal commentator Omid Scobie that Prince Harry is “ready to tell his story”.

Piers penned: “Ready to tell his story?

“Prince Privacy hasn’t stopped yapping, whining & trashing his family all bloody year.”

Speaking in a statement about the news, Prince Harry said: “I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

He is also expected to be donating proceeds to charity.

Piers is an outspoken critic of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

As many will know, he exited Good Morning Britain after he spoke about not believing the royals in their interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Many of Piers’ followers have already responded to his tweet with their own opinions.

One penned: “For a couple who wanted to step back and lead a private life every day there’s something in the news about them ….”

A second follower replied: “What’s happened to the Harry we knew (and loved!!!!).”

However, not everyone was against the idea with some airing their interest.

Another follower explained they were intrigued by the subject matter of the book.

They added: “It would be interesting to read about his experiences in the armed forces and his thoughts about his mother & father but after that My interest would wane..”

A second wrote: “Let Meg and Harry do what they like, the only person who has your best interest at heart is yourself.”

A third penned to Piers: “You can’t just let people do their own thing can you?? Nobody is forcing you to read what he writes.”
