Phil Foden’s terrific display in the Community Shield had fans making the same point about Chelsea new boy Jorginho.
The 18-year-old played 76 minutes as Manchester City started the season with a 2-0 win at Wembley.
Foden was selected to start in a midfield three alongside Fernandinho and Bernardo Silva – and it didn’t take long for him to make a real impact.
The teenager set up Sergio Aguero’s first goal after just 13 minutes. The Argentine then scored again in the second half to wrap up the game.
The Man City youngster had a better day than Chelsea new boy Jorginho, and fans were quick to compare the two.
Before sealing his move to Stamford Bridge the Italian had been all but set to move to City, but the midfielder decided to follow Maurizio Sarri from Napoli to London instead.
And following the Community Shield, City fans didn’t seem too disappointed to have missed out on the 26-year-old.
One supporter tweeted: "Foden looking more the part than Jorginho. Nice one City!"
Another fan posted: "Sure Jorginho will be good for CFC but today looked way out of his depth and was dominated by Foden."
