This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes, 61, reunited with some of his former Sky News colleagues for dinner this month and a picture from the evening was shared on Twitter. The broadcaster was pictured posing for a snap alongside Nazaneen Ghaffar, Isabel Webster and Jacquie Beltrao at a restaurant.

After the picture was shared, Eamonn responded to a social media user, who queried if he paid the bill.

The person wrote: “Who paid? Hope Eamonn treated you all!”

In view of his one million followers, the broadcaster replied: “I’m the only one without a regular job.”

The same Twitter user responded: “I’m sure there’s on GMB! Not many others who could do it! Three days a week!”(sic)

Eamonn’s reaction comes during his break away from This Morning.

The presenter and his wife Ruth presented the show on Fridays before Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary took over in January.

ITV later confirmed the pair will be back to present the show during half term holidays, however they will not be a part of the show this May.

A promo for the programme has confirmed Alison and Dermot will be fronting the show during the week instead.

Fans swiftly took to Twitter to share their thoughts about the presenting line-up.

One wrote: “No Eamonn and Ruth next week, that’s unusual they always do the holidays. #ThisMorning.”

“Would rather Eamonn and Ruth,” a second commented.

A third added: “#thismorning how come Alison and Dermot are presenting all next week, what happened to Eamonn and Ruth? I miss them.”

An ITV spokesperson has confirmed the presenting duo will be back in the future.

They said: “Alison and Dermot were always due to present next week.

“Eamonn and Ruth will be presenting over the summer.”

It’s not known why the couple are not returning to the show during May half term, however Eamonn has been suffering from chronic pain in recent weeks.

Earlier today, the broadcaster said he was on the mend after taking steroid injections.

He previously told viewers that three slipped discs in his back is what contributed to his health battle.

In his latest update, he wrote: “Another session of Physio rehab – feels like I’m making progress – slowly but surely.

“Chronic Pain now gone because of Steroid injections – Thank God.

“Got to strengthen my back now. Small steps, literally but feeling positive. Thanks for sharing your stories.”
