Disney’s Magic Bake-Off

Premiering at 7pm ET/PT, in the Zombies-themed episode, the kid bakers must design a spooktacular cake featuring cake pop pom poms, a glow in the dark element and a fault line showcasing the vastly different monster worlds of Zombietown or the Werewolf Den in the Forbidden Forrest. Co-hosts Issac Ryan Brown and Dara Reneé set the spooky mood and, along with Disneyland Resort pastry chef Gracie Gomez, welcome back baking influencer Mia Starr as a guest judge.

What was your favorite childhood Halloween costume and why?
Dara Renee: On this particular Halloween, I asked to be a princess. However, my Grandmother – being the seamstress that she was – found this amazing clown pattern and insisted on making it for me. I was a little upset at first, because I wasn’t trying to be no clown, BUT when I got to my school’s Halloween party…everyone and their mama was a princess! So not only did I stand out in the best way, I also got to tell jokes all day long!”

What are you looking forward to the most this Halloween season?
Dara: “I absolutely LOVE fall activities so I’m super excited to go to pumpkin patches and watch movies with hot apple cider!”
Issac: “I really love the late – and greatest of all times – Kobe Bryant and Chadwick Boseman, so I’m looking forward to being the Black Mamba this year!”

Sydney to the Max

Airing at 8pm ET/PT, Sydney and her friends are excited about Halloween and their peanut butter and jelly group costume until they discover they are the only eighth graders in costumes at school. Embarrassed that their peers think the holiday is just for “little kids,” they change their costumes so they won’t be recognized by any of their classmates when they go trick-or-treating one last time. Meanwhile, come up with a sneaky plan to maximize their trick-or-treating efforts.

What was your favorite childhood Halloween costume and why?
Ruth Righi:”My very favorite childhood Halloween costume would be a few years ago when I was a Whoopee Cushion. I was very proud of the full look when I put it on and to this day, have received the most compliments on it compared to any other costume I’ve worn.”
Ava Kolker: “My favorite childhood Halloween costume was when I dressed up as a vampire with a face full of makeup and fangs. I sat on the ground in my front yard, super still and jumped and screamed as people walked by. They thought I was a decoration, and I always cracked up when they got so scared! It was so much fun!”

What are you looking forward to the most this Halloween season?
Ruth: “I am really looking forward to watching as many Halloween classics and scary movies as possible this year. On top of that, I cannot wait to transform into Emily from the incredible Tim Burton movie, Corpse Bride, on Halloween!”
Ava: “For Halloween this year, I am doing a group costume with my friends which I’ve never done before. I’m excited for that, and I can’t wait to watch scary movies.”

What was your favorite childhood Halloween costume and why?
Jackson Dollinger: “My favorite childhood Halloween costume was my homemade sushi hand roll costume that my mom made when I was around 7 or 8. At school, I got so many compliments on my costume! I also remember that day was the 3rd grade fall poetry show and I got up in front of the whole class and performed my poem in my sushi costume.”
Christian J Simon: “My favorite childhood costume was when my family and I dressed up as the Skeleton family. We were lit!”

What are you looking forward to the most this Halloween season?
Jackson: “I am looking forward to the annual Halloween chili-cook-off that we have with our neighbor Dave! It is so much fun and the chili is always delicious.”
Christian: “I’m looking forward to taking my little brothers trick-or-treating even though my mom won’t let them eat any of the candy, lol.”

Gabby Duran & The Unsittables

Premiering at 8:30pm ET/PT, Gabby becomes obsessed with exposing and turning the tables on Havensburg’s “Fright Master,” an unknown entity that terrorizes the school every Halloween.

What was your favorite childhood Halloween costume and why?
Kylie Cantrall: “When I was younger, I was a huge fan of one particular Disney Princess, Jasmine. Not only did I go as her for Halloween, 4 years in a row, but I used to wear the costume to blockbuster, to the mall and to the park. My dad just got used to people coming up to him and saying ‘Your daughter, Jasmine, is so friendly.’”

What are you looking forward to the most this Halloween season?
Kylie: “I’m really looking forward to bringing out that Jasmine costume and seeing if it still fits!”

Don’t forget to tune in to the Disney Channel TONIGHT (October 8) for brand new Halloween-themed episodes, starting at 7pm ET/PT!
