Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal is missing Disha Vakani aka Daya and we hope she is listening | Bollywood Life

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has successfully completed 11 years on television. The audience loves this sitcom-like never before and they still look forward to watching TMKOC on a daily basis. Producer Asit Kumar Modi’s show made people laugh out loud and at the same, it conveyed a strong message to the viewers at the end of every episode. On the occasion of TMKOC’s 11th anniversary, Dilip Joshi, popularly known as Jethalal, bared his heart out to Times Of India and revealed how the show changed his life.

“The AV brought back a lot of old memories. I had forgotten a lot of scenes and today when I saw them I was surprised. We became viewers while watching the AV. I can’t thank viewers enough for the love they have showered on us,” the 51-year-old was quoted as saying to the newspaper.

Dilip further added, “I would thank God also as he kept us all healthy throughout the show. I would also like to thank Taarak Mehta, the humourist. In the television industry, if the characters are impressive, the show is automatically loved by people and he had written these characters in 1972. All the characters are lovely and till today people love them.”

In the past, Dilip did a couple of Bollywood films and shows but the actor credits Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for all the love and blessings he has received. He admits to the fact that he got recognition only because of TMKOC. Needless to say, this show had played a big role in his life.

Moving on, Dilip also shared how he misses his co-star Disha Vakani aka Daya on the show. Disha took a maternity break and ever since she hasn’t returned to the show. Having worked with Disha for nearly 9 years, Dilip misses working with her. “I am missing Disha Vakani a lot today. I have worked with her for almost 9 and a half years and it is not a short period. I feel she is still with us, it just that her priorities have changed now. She is a mother now and her priorities have obviously changed and today on this occasion we all are missing her.”

Dilip shares the same sentiments as anyone of us. And we hope, the actress makes up her mind to return on TV soon. What do you feel? Tweet to us @bollywood_life and let us know.
