Coronation Street’s Ellie Leach and Elle Mulvaney are worlds away from soap on night out

Coronation Street actors Ellie Leach and Elle Mulvaney, and their former co-star Alexandra Mardell, looked incredibly different to their soap characters as they attended the Cher Musical Press Night in Manchester on Tuesday.

The young actresses were pictured smiling while dressed casually on the red carpet before the show.

Ellie, who plays Faye Windass on Corrie, sported an unbuttoned light blue oversized blazer with a white tank top and a pair of high-rise light blue baggy jeans to match with white lace-up trainers to finish.

The 21 year old wore her mid-length brown hair loosely with a slight flick and kept her make-up natural as she accessorised her look with a gold-plated watch and white chain handbag.

Elle, 19, who plays Amy Barlow, was seen dressed in a white long-sleeved shirt tucked at the hem and a similar pair of light blue loose-fitting jeans with white lace-up trainers. She completed her outfit with a green handbag.

Joining the two ladies at the musical event was their former Coronation Street co-star Alexandra, 28, who showed up in happy spirits in another stylish off-duty ensemble.

The actress was seen wearing an oversized black denim jacket with a white tied T-shirt underneath, along with a multicoloured floral print maxi skirt, white Converse trainers and a tan handbag.

Alexandra’s appearance comes a month after her last scenes on the Cobbles aired, as her character Emma Brooker made an emotional exit, leaving Weatherfield for a new life in Australia with boyfriend Jon.

The TV star made the announcement earlier this year that she had quit Coronation Street after four years playing the role and actually filmed her final scenes back in February.

“Playing Emma, on the most iconic street there is, has been the best experience of my life. Four years have gone so fast,” Alexandra said in a statement.

She said: "Compared to other cast members I still feel like a newbie, which makes my decision to leave all the more difficult. But I feel it’s the right time for me."

Alexandra posted behind-the-scenes snaps of her last day after her character’s departure that saw her with several of her co-stars on the soap who had gathered to give her a good send off.

“And she’s off [heart emojis] Finally her happy ever after. Last goodbye, I promise. So much love xxx,” the actress captioned.
