Cheryl says year-long social media break was the ‘best thing’

Cheryl is back on social media and in the limelight as the star talks to about her break from public life and being single.

Cheryl, 37, has been away from her Instagram for over a year and described the break as the “best thing” for her and she says it was “really, really healthy for her mind” in a recent interview.

The former Girls Aloud singer shot back onto Instagram this month with her first post in more than a year and the singer looks fresher and happier than ever with a glowing smile in a selfie and surrounded by her team.

Cheryl, who is going by her first name only now, has been away from Instagram for over a year to spend quality time with her four year old son, Bear, from her relationship with One Direction singer, Liam Payne.

The brunette beauty is back and spoke candidly to Glamour magazine, where she shared the best thing she’s learned in the past year is how the break she took from social media has been “really healthy for her mind”.

Cheryl spoke openly about being single and how she’s found peace by herself saying, “I am learning that I can be absolutely fine without anybody, just me by myself. I’m learning to be happy with just me.”

The singer has clearly spent her time away from the limelight focussing on life and becoming at peace with herself. She said: “I’m learning to turn to myself for advice. It’s all in the process.”

Cheryl is known for her interest in health and wellness and admitted she “meditates for sometimes over an hour” at a time. She is back as the new brand ambassador for health and nutrition supplements, Feel, and took to her Instagram to announce to her fans the new collaboration.

In her partnership with Feel she shared a glowing picture of herself to her followers holding the supplements and her stunning brown locks cascaded over her shoulders as the singer looked tanned, relaxed and happy. She commented on her post: “I really want self-care to be accessible to everyone which is why I’ve chosen to partner up with @wearefeel a brand that makes science led clean health products without the premium price tag.”


The star went on to say, “Taking Feel Multivitamins has become my daily ritual and I am so excited to share them with you all.”
