Avengers 4 is going to bring an end to Chris Evans’ run as Captain America. The actor took to Twitter recently to reveal that he’s hanging up the shield and this lead to an emotional break down. From Marvel fans to Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds, almost everyone who has watched the actor play Captain America for eight years penned down an emotional goodbye. But Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr took the cake.

The Tony Stark actor, who shares a close bond with the Steve Rogers actor, took to Twitter to share a message that hits the emotional spot. He shared a picture of Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody from the Toy Story series who were dressed as Iron Man and Captain America with the caption: “We all know who the real sheriff in town is @ChrisEvans.” The picture had a writing which read: To infinity war and beyond.” Chris retweeted the picture with the caption: “This guy.”

Damn you Chris and Robert, you’ll know how to get us all emotional. Chris announced his retirement several months after he hinted that he would want to leave MCU before he’s shown the exit door.

Once he wrapped the reshoots of filming of Avengers 4, he took to Twitter and wrote: “Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.”

We’re curious to see how the Russo Brothers and Marvel Studios bid our favourite Marvel superhero a farewell. However they choose to do it, you’ll find us sobbing!
